There are a few different options available. Since most sub-floors in SW Florida are concrete, glue-down applications, which are preferred with engineered floors, and floating application, which can be found with most vinyl and laminate applications.

Some of your engineered woods can also float over padding. We would make recommendations at the time of our free consultation, and allow you to choose the application that works best for you based on manufacturers recommendations.

Luxury vinyl is a great choice because it's waterproof. High definition has allowed companies to create a luxury vinyl that looks incredibly real. With the looks of real wood and a product that is completely waterproof, it has been a popular choice in SW Florida.

Size and difficulty will most likely determine the amount of time it will take to install a floor. Factors such as: removal of existing floor, the amount of furnishings to be installed, whether or not the install is an open area or in other rooms and hallways as well. Also, the size of the planks can play a role, whether it is a glue-down or floating floor. Floating floors tend to install faster. However, we promise to complete every installation in a timely and professional manner. Specific details will be discussed further at the time of our free consultation.

Engineered wood is the preference in SW Florida. It will have a much lower moisture content because it is a wear layer over plywood, and even though it will expand and contract, it will do it at a much lower rate than real wood. When selecting an engineered wood, wear layer and thickness should be considered.
